How it works
The same round every night. Ready every morning.
Neko works like a meticulous bookkeeper with a fixed routine. Here is what it does, in what order, and where you decide.

Last night
An ordinary night for Neko.
An example administration with a few hundred invoices a month.
- 05:00Bank fetched: 38 new transactions.
- 05:0312 invoices read. 1 blocked: different IBAN from last time.
- 05:0631 payments matched to invoices.
- 05:0914 invoices booked in Exact Online.
- 05:119 open items reconciled, all exactly to zero.
- 07:02One message in Slack, with two questions and two buttons.

Neko's round
Early every morning, per administration, always in this order.
- 01
Fetch the bank
New transactions from your business accounts, booked transactions only.
- 02
Read invoices
From your invoice mailbox and from Slack. Neko reads amount, VAT, IBAN and invoice number, and checks that net plus VAT adds up.
- 03
Check
Sender verified? IBAN unchanged? Invoice number not seen before? If not, Neko blocks it.
- 04
Classify
Every transaction gets a type: expense, balance sheet, own transfer, tax. Proof always beats a guess.
- 05
Match
Invoice to payment, within a fixed window. Neko only links on its own when the match is strong.
- 06
Book in Exact
Purchases and bank, with the right account and VAT code. Always checking first whether it is already there.
- 07
Reconcile
Open items that close to exactly zero are matched off.
- 08
One message
Only when there is something to decide. Otherwise, silence.
Autonomy
Neko earns its freedom.
Per capability, such as booking purchases or reconciling, we decide how much Neko may do alone. Promotion is never automatic. Stepping back is.
0
Observe
Neko works everything out but writes nothing to Exact. We compare with what you or your accountant book.
1
Propose
Every booking arrives as a card with a button. You approve.
2
Act within rules
What a confirmed rule covers, Neko books itself. Everything else it proposes.
3
Act, report after
Only for low-risk work, such as reconciling items that close to exactly zero.
Promotion only after at least 50 proposals, 98 percent approved unchanged, over at least four weeks. Two corrections within a week and Neko steps back.

Learning
A correction becomes a rule.
Tell Neko once that the coffee place around the corner is entertainment, without VAT deduction, and it keeps that as a rule. Memory never changes your books. Only rules do, and you can see every one of them.
